We have a rare opportunity for an Accounts Clerk / Accounts Receivable to join our company. This is a full time salary role offering one rostered day off each month.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of managing several different entities with the support of a small and dedicated accounts team. The role is based at our office in Molendinar, with off-street parking provided.
The Position:
Reporting to our Finance Manager / Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Exporting daily and weekly data from POS systems across multiple venues
* Importing and allocating sales data into our Xero accounting software
* Accurately recording and coding all revenue streams
* Reconciling sales and revenue data
* Performing daily and weekly bank reconciliations
* Problem solving and resolving discrepancies
* Assisting in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly revenue reports
* Supporting end of month processes and financial reporting
* Liaising with Venue Managers on sales and revenue
* Working closely with the accounts team to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting
* Other tasks as required by the Finance Manager / Accountant
What we are looking for:
To be considered for this role you will have :
* Previous experience in accounts receivable or similar finance role
* Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
* Experience in a high volume environment preferably dealing with multiple entities
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and exposure to online banking platforms is essential
* Resourceful and systematic approach to problem solving
* High level of attention to detail
* Strong reconciliation skills
* Ability to analyse and solve problems
* Independent, proactive and able to multi-task
