Job Description:
As a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects by overseeing the development and execution of complex Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) programs.
You will be responsible for leading a high-performance team to manage ES&H project programs, ensuring seamless integration with functional leads, and spearheading overall project ES&H execution.
Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving ES&H performance expectations, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate the execution of safety components of health and safety programs inclusive of technical and administrative aspects for assigned areas.
2. Draft and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated plans, procedures, and training programs.
3. Provide input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups involving significant safety and health issues, risks, and techniques to reduce adverse impacts on projects.
4. Conduct research on complex issues and regulatory requirements, perform studies, and risk assessments.
5. Prepare documentation and reports.
6. Supervise an Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) program on a project inclusive of technical and administrative aspects, compliance activities, and processes and plans.
7. Supervise ESH personnel and facilitate their development through assignments, coaching, and mentoring.
8. Ensure that ESH requirements are properly interpreted and integrated in planning documents, design criteria, construction, and operational plans, schedules, training programs, and documents.
9. Apply ESH Management System and standards to achieve, maintain, and continually improve EHS program execution.
10. Conduct assessments and inspections, and participate in audits, to confirm ESH compliance with contractual commitments, laws, and regulations, environmental permit requirements, and standards.
11. Confirm that environmental permitting, specialized studies, assessments, reports, and regulatory submittals are completed as required.
