About the Role:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth and market share through the expansion of new unit sales within a designated territory. This involves building strong relationships with current and future clients to support our local branch.
* Achieve profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in the sales territory.
* Develop good relationships with customers in a competitive environment.
* Promote sales of products to existing customers and establish new contacts.
* Arrange customer visits to demonstrate the performance and suitability of our products.
* Participate in planning and executing programs to promote our products and sales activities.
* Provide feedback on client response and interest patterns.
* Utilize technical knowledge to assist in preparing estimates and tenders according to sales and pricing policy.
* Promote and sell specialized products and equipment of a technical nature.
* Ensure technical information and advice regarding our products is provided to customers.
Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales or Marketing is desirable.
* Previous experience in sales within the material handling industry.
* Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work professionally under pressure in a competitive situation.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
* Self-motivated individual with great time management skills.
