Master Mariner Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Mariner to join our team in Cairns. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of vessels that support Navy activities.

This is an opportunity for a motivated and professional individual to take on a challenging role with a leading maritime organisation. As a Master Mariner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining vessel machinery and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform marine operations, including crane operations, berthing, anchoring, and seamanship
* Manage and participate in shipboard drills and exercises
* Conduct maintenance and marine engineering operations within your certificate qualifications
* Ensure vessel and crew compliance with safety standards and regulations
* Participate in the training and induction of new personnel in inshore vessel operations
Requirements:
* AMSA Certificate of Competency as a Master <24m near coastal
* Experience as a Master/Engineer on vessels of a similar size
* Knowledge of marine operations, including crane and fuelling services
* Current First Aid Certificate and a valid driver's licence
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively
