Key Responsibilities
* Lead the overall performance of a portfolio of energy assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and commercially effective operations
* Provide strategic direction across operations, maintenance, asset management, and business planning
* Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and performance optimisation across the asset base
* Oversee budget development, cost control, forecasting, and financial performance of the business unit
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, environmental, safety, and governance requirements
* Manage risk, asset integrity, and operational priorities in a complex stakeholder environment
* Build and maintain robust relationships with regulators, customers, contractors, joint venture partners, and other external stakeholders
* Support the development and execution of growth, transition, and capital investment initiatives
* Lead, mentor, and develop high‐performing teams across multiple business functions
* Foster a professional, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture aligned with organisational values
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Significant experience in a senior leadership or general management role within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, resources, or other asset‐intensive sectors
* Demonstrated success leading cross‐functional teams in operational environments
* Strong commercial, financial, and strategic planning capability
* Experience managing assets within regulated or stakeholder‐driven industries
* Proven ability to manage risk, competing priorities, and organisational complexity
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
* Ability to influence at executive level and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, business, commerce, or a related discipline
Preferred Experience
* Experience overseeing power generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, storage, or broader energy infrastructure assets
* Exposure to geographically distributed operations or multi‐site asset portfolios
* Experience supporting capital projects, transformation programs, or business growth initiatives
* Familiarity with the Australian energy market and regulatory environment
