We are seeking a Media Engagement Manager to lead proactive media strategies, manage high-stakes communications, and drive national visibility.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of public messaging — crafting compelling content, guiding media engagement, and ensuring consistent communication that supports strategic objectives and strengthens reputation across traditional and digital channels.What You Will DoDevelop and deliver proactive media engagement plans aligned to organisational priorities.Build and maintain trusted relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and media influencers.Act as the primary media contact, managing inquiries and coordinating interviews/spokespeople.Draft and refine media content including press releases, op-eds, feature articles, and statements.Prepare briefing kits, backgrounders and talking points for executives and spokespeople.Monitor and analyse media coverage, providing insights on sentiment and reputational risks.Develop media performance reports to track impact and adjust strategies accordingly.Support crisis communication efforts, providing rapid, measured advice to leaders.Partner with communications, government relations and stakeholder engagement teams to ensure unified, consistent messaging.About YouDegree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or similar (Master's desirable).5+ years' experience in media relations, journalism, or public affairs.Proven success securing coverage and managing complex or sensitive communications.Deep understanding of media landscapes, editorial processes, and digital platforms.Exceptional writing and editing ability — able to turn complex information into clear, compelling narratives.Skilled relationship-builder, confident engaging with media professionals and senior executives.What's on OfferA pivotal, high-profile role shaping media engagement for a energetic organisation.Opportunity to influence narratives, secure thought leadership and enhance brand visibility.Engage with national and specialist media outlets across multiple sectors.Competitive remuneration package and long-term career development pathwayWho are we?
