About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for maintaining and auditing payroll systems to deliver accurate and timely payroll services. This role requires a commitment to quality customer service and a proactive approach to meeting stakeholder needs.
In this position, you will collaborate with team members to monitor payroll activities, verify calculations, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Your attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information will be essential in supporting the organisation's goals.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Essential: Certificate III in Accounting or Business Administration OR relevant experience with ongoing professional development.
* Desirable: Certificate IV in Payroll Administration.
* Experience with Payroll/HRIS/Time and Attendance systems is essential.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

* *The commencing salary for this position is up to $73k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $85k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation*
* We have a temporary full-time role available
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
* We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
