Primary objective
To provide high-quality project and operational support to Youth Justice Programs by managing SupportLink referrals,
maintaining accurate databases and registers, producing analysis and advice on program performance, supporting the
implementation of policies and strategies, and coordinating and delivering system training to program providers and staff.
Context statement
Youth Justice Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing, and managing youth justice programs,
initiatives, projects, and associated contracts to improve outcomes for young people in, or at risk of entering, the youth
justice system.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage and monitor SupportLink referrals to ensure requests are reviewed and allocated within required timeframes.
2. Maintain accurate contract registers, databases, and reporting tools to meet compliance and disclosure obligations.
3. Undertake data cleansing and quality assurance activities and contribute to routine and ad hoc reporting to support
planning and assurance.
4. Work with the referral and data systems support team to resolve complex system issues and program provider queries.
5. Maintain effective reporting systems across all areas of responsibility.
6. Research, develop and manage improvement projects focused on data sustainability and reporting.
7. Support the development and implementation of contracts, programs, and initiatives to improve outcomes for young
people.
8. Identify and escalate contract-related risks to mitigate operational disruption and maximise performance.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience providing continuous data and system improvement and ability to analyses information
systematically and draws evidence-based conclusions.
2. Ability to interpret legislations to inform data and program practices.
3. Sound communication skills to write briefs, ministerials and reports and communicate effectively and negotiates with a
diverse stakeholders tailoring communication from technical and non-technical audiences to achieve outcomes.
4. Ability to align operational tasks with organisations goals and contributes to planning and strategies.
5. Demonstrated experience building collaborative relationships across internal and external networks.
6. Knowledge of data and system analysis, reporting, benchmarking techniques, and contemporary data management
practices.
Desirable
1. Technical or numerical analysis related qualification or relevant training.
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
