About This Opportunity
Senior Manager, IT PMO Assurance leads portfolio governance and project assurance across UQ's IT project portfolio, ensuring initiatives align with strategic priorities and comply with governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead IT portfolio governance and assurance activities, including management of governance forums, project gate reviews and assurance processes across the IT project portfolio.
* Oversee preparation and review of project documentation and funding submissions, including feasibility assessments and business cases, ensuring alignment with governance standards and strategic objectives.
* Support IT portfolio planning activities, including initiative triage, sequencing of initiatives and coordination of inputs for annual planning and investment submissions.
* Drive continuous improvement of IT PMO governance frameworks, reporting and capability development to strengthen project delivery practices across the organisation.

About You
You are an experienced portfolio, program or project governance professional with a strong understanding of project assurance, investment planning and organisational governance within complex environments. You bring strong leadership capability, strategic thinking and the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse teams.
You Will Demonstrate
* Postgraduate qualifications in IT, business, project management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
* Extensive experience in portfolio, program or project management within large, complex organisations.
* Strong knowledge of project, program and portfolio management frameworks, including governance, assurance and change management practices.
* Experience leading governance processes including project gate reviews, business case assessment and portfolio reporting.
* Strong analytical capability, including experience assessing business cases, risks and benefits associated with technology investments.
* Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and improvement initiatives.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to senior decision‐makers.
* Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience managing and developing project or governance teams.
Desirable
* Experience in the higher education sector.
* Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, PMBOK, Agile or recognised change management frameworks.
