Job Description
This is a pivotal role for an experienced CNC machinist to join our production team and contribute to the manufacture of precision components.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills, ensuring all components meet specifications using measuring tools, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts
* Ensure components meet specifications using various measuring tools
* Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to OH&S standards
* Contribute to process improvements and enhance output quality
* Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
* Oversee production schedules and minimize waste and rework
* Participate in regular team meetings and maintain high 5S standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need strong technical skills and knowledge of machining processes. Key qualifications include:
* Previous experience in CNC machining or a related field
* Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
