About the role
We are looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated senior civil design engineer to join our great team and to share in the success of the company. We have a small team of experienced and well-respected civil engineers, and we are looking to bolster our capacity in the areas of project management, mentoring and training junior staff and leading and reviewing design projects.
You will be responsible for the delivery of civil engineering design projects, including project management, concept and detailed design, and production of engineering drawings. The role may also include preparation of construction contract documents and construction supervision. The successful candidate will have the option of being based in any of our three offices (Armidale, Coffs Harbour or Lennox Head).

Applicants must address the following selection criteria in their application:
* A tertiary qualification in civil engineering.
* Experience in the design and documentation of land development/subdivision projects and civil infrastructure (roads, shared paths, car parks, water supply, sewerage, stormwater).
* Experience and competence using a civil design software package to produce designs, including 3D earthworks, roads, drainage and water and sewer servicing design.
* Excellent project and time management skills.
* Effective collaborator and comfortable working as part of a team, including multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to mentor and train junior staff as well as review designs and provide feedback.
* A minimum of ten years’ relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment. Please note we are also interested in candidates who have substantially more experience. The remuneration for this role is negotiable and will be commensurate with your experience.
* Experience in the preparation of construction contract documents and construction supervision.
* Skills and experience in the hydraulic design of water and sewerage reticulation systems including sewer rising mains and pump stations.
* Road Safety Auditor accreditation.
