Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Review and provide input into engineering designs.
* Conduct asset inspections and collect condition data for various asset portfolios.
* Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating Asset Management Plans.
* Investigate and resolve asset‐related issues through technical research and assessment.
* Support delivery of operational and maintenance works for asset portfolios.
* Identify new, upgrade, and renewal works to inform annual and strategic planning.
* Engage and manage consultants throughout project phases.
* Plan, procure, and manage works and contractors through quoting, tendering, construction, and asset handover stages.
* Provide support and technical advice for drainage requirements and stormwater design upgrades.
* Support implementation of Artificial Intelligence systems for road network condition monitoring.
* Undertake site inspections to determine project scope, identify issues, and propose solutions.
* Assist in preparing work order documentation and manage minor projects or support major project managers.
* Prepare RFQ and tender documents, assist with tender evaluations, and contribute to tender reports.
* Ensure all work complies with City of Launceston's Work Health and Safety policies.
* Collaborate within the Engineering Team and across other teams to support strategic and annual plan actions.
About You
The company is looking for:
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualifications.
* Maximum of four years post‐graduation experience.
* Current driver's licence.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
* High‐level written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‐technical audiences.
* Customer service orientation and ability to deliver high‐quality service.
* Community‐focused mindset and commitment to safety and wellbeing.
Compensation & Benefits
* Permanent full‐time position with a 19‐day month working pattern.
* Total remuneration $97,946 – $111,551 per annum, including superannuation.
* Base salary $84,986 – $96,791 per annum.
* Employer superannuation contribution of 15.25%.
* 4 weeks annual leave plus leave loading.
* Two weeks personal leave per year.
* Paid parental leave: 14 weeks primary carer, 2 weeks secondary carer.
* Long service leave after 7 years continuous service.
