Overview
Principal Lawyer and Manager, Corporate and Commercial Law is a senior role at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). The role delivers expert legal advice and services to MACS schools and offices on corporate and commercial matters, leads the Corporate and Commercial Law team, and supports growth and transformation within MACS as part of the MACS 2030 strategy. Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of lawyers and senior lawyers, advising on complex legal challenges and aligning with the MACS 2030 strategy. Champion capability-building initiatives across MACS schools and offices to empower decision-makers to understand and meet legal obligations. Oversee the delivery of high-quality legal services, ensuring consistency, strategic alignment, and operational excellence within the Corporate and Commercial Law team. Promote a culture of collaboration and responsiveness, building robust client relationships and delivering practical, solution-oriented legal advice. Represent the legal team in high-level stakeholder engagements, building trusted partnerships and influencing outcomes that support MACS operations and values. About You
