APAC Tax Product Vice President
State Street's APAC Tax Product team seeks an experienced tax advisor to provide strategic oversight and commercial insight across major projects, product and service design, risk oversight, and client contact throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities
* Drive custody and fund tax services in the APAC region, balancing tax technical, operational risks, commercial opportunities, and client deliverables.
* Provide oversight for Australian superannuation and mutual fund tax services, delivered to leading Super and Mutual Fund providers in Australia.
* Work closely with Product, Operations, Technology and Corporate functions to execute on business unit strategy, drive product and geographic expansion, and build a scalable technology and operating model.
* Engage and develop relationships with key clients, third parties, consultants and tax advisors.
* Represent State Street in client pitches alongside senior business owners.
* Through active engagement with industry associations and public/private forums on tax matters, lead initiatives that simplify tax operational processes and create opportunities for tax optimisation.
Qualifications & Experience
* 7+ years of funds or custody tax experience, with strong knowledge of either superannuation tax or custody tax.
* Demonstrated leadership and influence across functional areas, including non‐tax professionals.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex tax matters in concise, layperson terms.
* Accounting or law qualification.
