We are looking for a skilled and reliable professional who can prepare quality breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, support menu consistency, and contribute to the smooth running of a busy café kitchen.
Salary: AUD 80,000 to 85,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing, seasoning, cooking and presenting café breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes to Perk & Palate's standards.
* Planning and preparing food for daily service, including mise en place and portion control.
* Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials.
* Monitoring food quality, presentation, stock rotation and wastage.
* Ensuring food is prepared safely and in accordance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
* Supervising and supporting cooks, kitchenhands and junior kitchen staff during service.
* Managing kitchen workflow during peak periods.
* Checking stock levels and assisting with ordering food and kitchen supplies.
* Maintaining cleanliness of workstations, cooking equipment, cool rooms and storage areas.
Skills and Experience:
* Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
* At least 2 years' experience as a chef in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen hygiene and food safety.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced café environment.
* Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
* Good communication skills and reliable availability.
