The Role
This is a leadership role where you'll take the reins on Council's major projects and programs.
You'll work closely with the Director Infrastructure and Assets and the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic advice and ensuring the successful delivery of key priorities.
From stakeholder engagement to contract management, risk mitigation to resource coordination – you'll drive outcomes that matter.
What You'll Do:
Lead and deliver complex infrastructure and building projects through all phases – initiation to closure
Develop project management plans, including stakeholder engagement and change management strategies
Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure delivery within scope
Build strong relationships with internal staff, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and community stakeholders
Provide high-level strategic advice and accurate reporting to Council and the Executive Leadership Team
Champion continuous improvement and implement best-practice project management frameworks
What You'll Bring
Extensive experience in project management, preferably in the building industry, from the client side
Strong contract administration and contractor management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities – you can engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
Current National Police Certificate, Construction White Card, and Driver's Licence
