Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Distribution, the Business Development Manager will deliver exceptional sales results through ISS/Rainmaker’s suite of products offered to the investment management, financial planning, superannuation, and service provider segments of the financial services industry.
The BDM should design integrated holistic solutions for clients by leveraging ISS/Rainmaker’s and Financial Standard’s offerings including events, and subscription services. The BDM will Manage a deep and broad set of accounts across multiple industry segments and provide excellent ongoing service while ensuring ISS/Rainmaker’s commercial relationship with each account is fully explored and maximized.
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve individual sales and revenue targets through a proactive sales effort, by building relationships and a utilizing a solutions-based sales approach.
2. Develop and manage relationships with assigned accounts, prospect new opportunities within Rainmaker’s target market segments, and deliver high quality service to each and every client.
3. Develop ongoing solutions for clients by uncovering their challenges, identifying sales opportunities and showcasing the benefits of Rainmaker’s suite of products and services.
4. Utilise sales pipeline tool to record, execute, and report on sales activities and the available opportunity set, and keep up-to-date at all times.
5. Attend recurring and internal meetings as set by the business and Head of Sales on time and undertaking required preparation.
6. Make a proactive and positive contribution to sales strategy, business planning and team meetings.
7. Input ideas for ongoing development and improvement of ISS/Rainmaker’s existing products and participate in product innovation.
8. Attend conferences and travel for sales meetings and events as required.
Qualifications:
9. Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Business or a related discipline
10. With 5-7 years of experience in sales and business development preferably from Financial Services industry or related industry.
11. Understanding of wealth management, superannuation, life insurance and management investments preferred but not essential.
12. Should be results focused and have entrepreneurial approach to sales. With highly developed communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
13. Enthusiastic, autonomous and self-motivated.
14. Willingness to learn and develop.
15. Team based approach to success.
16. Well organized and able to prioritize time and resources.
