The Opportunity
Due to HKA's continued success, our Integrated Project Services team in Sydney is looking for Document Controllers for upcoming opportunities. On-site work may be required depending on client needs.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare specific documents including design and vendor documents, project correspondence, and control and delivery documents.
2. Manage incoming and outgoing contractual documents such as briefs, drawings, reports, schedules, and specifications.
3. Coordinate with project, quality, technical, and administrative teams for effective document management.
4. Manage electronic document management systems for storage, retrieval, and project searches.
5. Ensure compliance with corporate records systems and liaise with contractors, clients, and suppliers.
6. Maintain all project documents and drawings within document management systems.
7. Set up and maintain on-site document control systems.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Document Controller with knowledge of document control processes and systems.
* Experience with project lifecycle and quality controls.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
* Understanding of engineering documents and approval processes.
* Familiarity with project procedures and document control software like TeamBinder and Aconex.
* Strong relationship-building skills with contractors and stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
