NES Fircroft is supporting our valued client, Woodside Energy, who are looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their Perth Office on an initial 6-12 month contract.
About the Role
The position will provide Controls Systems support to the Technical Support Team ensuring safe and reliable operation of Pluto LNG facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Technical support including response to failure and subsequent root cause analysis.
* Participation and input to Opportunity and Vulnerability identification initiatives including obsolescence.
* Identification, project management and implementation of modifications
* Manage relationships with critical suppliers and ensure competitive commercial outcomes.
* Active participation in the Field Leadership programme whilst on site
* Input to maintenance strategy, planning and execution.
* Management of Process Safety Risk Assessment Outcomes
Skills & Experience
* Overriding commitment to the safe operation of the production facilities
* Familiarity with operation and support control systems including DCS, shutdown systems, fire & gas systems, and typical packaged equipment PLC’s.
* Experience with Honeywell Experion and Tricon systems is preferred.
* Multi-disciplinary skills & experience (Instrumentation) will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated ability to take a high level of ownership and initiative in progressing work scopes, identifying issues and delivering safe, effective fit-for-purpose and timely outcomes.
* Strong interpersonal skills including a track record of collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the production environment.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor degree or equivalent) in Controls Engineering or similar relevant discipline.
* Disciplines and Process Safety Management competency consistent with, or approaching, the requirements of a Woodside Technical Integrity Custodian (TIC).
