Meraq Building Designers is a progressive and creative design studio based in Williamstown, Victoria. Our work spans across Melbourne and includes everything from single residences to multi-dwelling projects.
We're looking for an experienced
Building Designer
to join our growing team!
What you'll do
Take over projects from the concept stage and develop them into complete town planning drawing sets
Collaborate with consultants to resolve design issues, address non-compliances, and prepare supporting justifications
Manage council communications during the planning RFI (Request for Information) process and keep clients informed of progress
Analyse RFIs thoroughly to determine the most effective response strategy
Monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met and clients are kept updated throughout the process
Transition town planning projects into working drawings, making necessary adjustments and corrections
Coordinate with consultants to ensure timely delivery of their required documentation and inputs
Step in to assist with other projects as needed, depending on team workload and priorities

What we need
Minimum 3 years\' experience in building design
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
Good understanding of NCC and council requirements
Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
Self managed
Requirements
Fully eligible to work in Australia
Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
