Job Summary
This role is responsible for delivering human resources transactional services, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be required to attend the office full-time for the initial three months for training requirements.
After the training period, an option to work 40% from home is available. Start and finish times range from 7:30am to 6pm as per the flexible work policy.
Main Responsibilities
* HR Transactional Services: Deliver accurate and efficient HR services, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
* Data Processing: Accurately process pay, leave, service history, and debt recoveries, including employee onboarding and separation.
* Customer Support: Provide clear and accurate advice to internal customers on tax regulations, superannuation, awards, and entitlements.
* Escalation: Escalate complex issues when necessary.
* Record Management: Maintain accurate records, data processing, and reporting in compliance with established operating systems.
* Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality with employee matters and adhere to departmental governance policies and security protocols.

* You have demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processes, including tax regulations, superannuation, awards, and entitlements.
* You are familiar with payroll systems and software used for high-volume payroll processing.
* You are a self-starter with strong communication skills.
* You are a problem solver with great attention to detail.
* You are customer-focused and a team player.
* You have knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG.
