Project Engineer – Mining (Civil / Mechanical) | FIFO | 5-Month Project | Karratha WA
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team for a 5-month mining project in Karratha, Western Australia.
This is a FIFO role (from any Australian state) supporting mining construction and remediation works. For the right candidate, there are strong opportunities for ongoing project work beyond this assignment.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to coordinate and deliver works in line with project schedules, client requirements, and site standards.
This role will have a strong focus on quality control, documentation, and site coordination, particularly:
* Preparing and managing ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
* Managing quality documentation and project records
* Ensuring compliance with client specifications and site standards
* Supporting daily site coordination and progress tracking
* Assisting with scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management
* Liaising with supervisors, trades, and client representatives
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Project Engineer within the mining sector
* Background in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience working on mining construction and/or remediation projects
* Strong understanding of ITPs, quality documentation, and compliance processes
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
