Job Title: Road Maintenance Engineer
This role is part of a larger infrastructure project, focused on supporting the operational performance and upkeep of haul roads and infrastructures within the Onslow Iron Project.
The Road Maintenance Engineer provides second-in-charge support and relief cover for the Superintendent Haulage Infrastructure across various rosters.
This role is based on a 4D 3RR 8D 6RR FIFO roster. Key responsibilities include:
* Investigate failures, monitor deterioration, arrange or conduct necessary testing through internal teams or external contractors, and implement interventions and remediation works.
* Support development and implementation of autonomous haulage operations.
* Administer and maintain data within Asset Vision, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
* Prepare work packs for both the internal road maintenance crew and external contractors.
* Manage interfaces related to road maintenance contracts including approval processes, LAP, mobilisation, contractor safety requirements.
* Cover duties of the Superintendent during rostered leave or rotation.
For this challenging and rewarding position, we require:
* A degree in Civil Engineering.
* Demonstrable experience in road maintenance and/or construction, preferably in mining or large-scale infrastructure environments.
* Sound practical knowledge of civil and pavement engineering, asset management systems and contract management.
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
* Able to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and management.
