Job Purpose
Are you passionate about continuous improvement and eager to work hands‐on with real manufacturing processes?
As a Process Engineer at our Streets Ice Cream Factory in Minto, you'll play a key role in shaping how our iconic ice creams are made — every day.
In this role, you'll tackle complex technical challenges, apply core engineering principles, and act as a vital link between Production and cross‐functional teams. You'll lead and support improvement initiatives that boost efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate product quality across the site.

Key Responsibilities
* Our Process Engineers are at the forefront of product implementation & improvements.
* Your work would include but is not limited to:
* Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality across the ice cream manufacturing process.
* Own and drive the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Focused Improvement (FI) pillars within the department.
* Implement and sustain Run to Standard (R2S) practices, including data collection and analysis, loss prioritisation, problem‐solving, SMED, and defining centreline settings and process parameters.
* Identify, prioritise, and eliminate process losses using ICMS methodologies, including BPCD, AM, FI, and PM tools.
* Conduct data‐driven analysis — such as reliability studies, touch mapping, and loss analysis — to identify opportunities that enhance performance and minimise waste.
* Build process capability and improve process control by defining equipment standards, creating technical documentation, and supporting equipment optimisation.
* Train and coach line crews on technical standards, restoration of basic conditions, and best‐practice operating methods.
* Develop and implement solutions that streamline processes, eliminate failures, and reduce manual intervention.
* Lead and support the adoption of digital tools and technologies, ensuring capability building and effective use across teams.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams and contribute to site pillar activities to deploy best practices and deliver long‐term operational improvements.
What you need to succeed
* Co Degree qualified in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering with 2 years' experience in FMCG manufacturing or
Key Competencies
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical capability using structured CI methodologies (FI, AM, RCA, SMED).
* Ability to interpret manufacturing data and use tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
* Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, engineering, or related environments.
* Ability to train and influence operators, technicians, and cross‐functional stakeholders.
* Knowledge of process engineering, equipment functionality, and centreline management.

* Ability or experience to manage projects and motivate operations team
* Analytical, report writing and proactive problem solver
* A self‐motivator with ability to find solutions and achieve objectives to drive outcomes.
* Exceptional organisation and planning skills.
* Outstanding communication skills

* Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts and cut through complexity to provide pragmatic solutions.

* Ability to lead a Continuous Improvement mindset and develop operators' technical capability.
* Strong coaching skills with the ability to train and mentor teams in standards, troubleshooting, and process discipline.
* Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across cross‐functional teams.
* Skilled in leading change, implementing new technologies, and embedding new operating practices.
* Experienced in facilitating AM/FI pillar activities and leading structured problem‐solving sessions.
* Effective communicator able to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences and build team engagement.
* Results‐driven leadership with a focus on prioritisation, accountability, and sustainable improvement.
