The clinical nurse role involves working in partnership with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families to provide expert child health knowledge and care.
Key Responsibilities
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
* Support change management principles by providing culturally sensitive support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role-modeling, and promoting cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
* Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of family-centred care.
