About the role

The Non‐Clinical Needs Assessor plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, person‐centred home support assessments for older individuals, in alignment with the Aged Care Act 2024. Leveraging the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT), the assessor evaluates and identifies appropriate entry‐level care supports tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.

Assessments use a holistic approach, covering environmental, physical, and social dimensions—including levels of independence, functional capacity, and existing support networks. Following each assessment, the assessor develops a detailed and individualised Support Plan, articulating key findings, personal goals, and targeted service recommendations to enhance wellbeing and support older people to remain living independently at home.

An extensive orientation and training program (≈ two months) covers the National Training Program, online modules, practical on‐the‐job experience, and formal learner appraisals, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
