Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Perth Airport laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, on-site analytical testing while supporting the safe and efficient operation of our laboratory services. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a high level of autonomy and technical exposure.
What you will be doing:
* Perform sampling and analytical testing under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor
* Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments with precision
* Maintain accurate records, including calibration, results, and reports within LIMS
* Generate trend data and reports using LIMS and MS Office tools
* Support the development and improvement of analytical methods
* Assist with laboratory stock control and general lab operations
* Contribute to safety initiatives, including hazard identification and risk assessments
* Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and minimal rework in all testing activities
Qualifications
About You
* Relevant technical or tertiary qualifications in a scientific field
* Experience working with petrochemical, gas, or chemical products
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with laboratory systems
* Knowledge of quality systems and laboratory standards
* High attention to detail with a proactive and reliable approach
Desirable experience with instruments: Karl Fischer, Flash Point, FTIR, Viscometer, Gas Chromatography, ICP, Auto titrators
