The Opportunity
We're looking for passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. Casual and part-time positions are available across a range of locations in the Hunter region, in our 24 independent living homes. With various shifts (day and night) available, we can work with you to accommodate priorities outside of work.
Responsibilities
* Customer Engagement: Working within a team as well as independently, support and mentor customers in daily living and delivery of person‐centred support, helping them to live their best lives.
* Domestic Support: Assist customers with daily tasks, including meal preparation, personal care and medication administration, ensuring comfort, care and independence.
* Transportation: Take customers where required to various activities, medical and allied health appointments.
* Relationship Development: Establish strong networking connections with customers, their families, health professionals and all relevant stakeholders.
* Customer documentation: Complete progress notes, incident reports, monthly reports, collect individualised data and review emails.

Requirements
* Availability to work a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights and weekends (preferences will be accommodated where possible).
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support) or life experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* An inclusive, understanding and compassionate attitude, with a passion for excellence in customer care.
* A reliable smartphone prepared for work purposes.
* Computer proficiency including Outlook, Word and SharePoint.
* New South Wales driver's licence (P1, P2 or full licence).
* A nationally recognised first aid certificate or the ability to obtain one.
* NDIS worker screening check or the ability to obtain one.
* NDIS worker orientation module or the ability to complete the training.
* Working with children check (paid employee) or the ability to obtain one.
* Commitment to learning and implementing work, health and safety requirements.
* Experience working with individuals with mental health and complex needs.
