Job Description:
The Meat Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead a team of employees, providing guidance, coaching, and training to achieve optimal results.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sales and merchandising plans to drive business growth, determining production requirements, and participating in meat cutting to optimize efficiency. Additionally, the manager will oversee merchandise presentation and merchandising to create an appealing store environment, review sanitation logs, and ensure health code compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with experience in management or supervision. A higher school certificate or relevant apprenticeship, butcher/meat department/meat cutting experience, and proficiency in Google Suite, AS400, and basic math skills are essential.
