This is a 12‑month fixed term contract. It offers a competitive salary of $101,226 per annum plus 12% superannuation and opportunities for salary packaging, annual leave, study assistance and more. You will work in a purpose‑driven organisation, mentoring Finance Officers, resolving complex transaction issues, managing month‑end and year‑end processes, reconciling accounts, and leading audits and continuous improvement of financial systems. You will also contribute to strategy as part of the Finance Leadership Team and support organisational growth through strong financial management.

About Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation
Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community‑Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we provide quality services across East Arnhem Land and enable Yolŋu‑powered community health and wellbeing. With a head office in Nhulunbuy and a corporate office in Darwin, we deliver services through seven health centres and outreach teams that travel to additional locations.
What we're looking for in you
We're looking for a qualified and experienced finance professional committed to Aboriginal community control and familiar with challenges faced by Yolŋu communities in remote settings. You'll have at least three years of experience in accounts payable/receivable and team leadership, solid knowledge of accounting practices and financial systems, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and problem‑solving skills across cultural environments. A current NT Ochre Card, Covid‑19 vaccination, and relevant post‑secondary qualifications are required.
