Infrastructure Lead Who they are A global fintech powerhouse is on the lookout for a proven infrastructure leader to head up a high-performing team in Sydney. This is a hands-on leadership role - perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex infrastructure problems and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and automated systems that keep a world-class trading operation running smoothly. To be successful in the role, a high degree of Windows systems engineering knowledge is needed, coupled with strong IaC skills to drive automation adoption - ideally with Terraform & PowerShell. As its a lead role, you will also need to have previously led and mentored teams of Systems engineers. They have some of the best offices in Sydney with Lunch & Breakfast provided daily by their own in-house catering team but do require you to be in office 4 days per week. The role Take ownership of critical infrastructure across the APAC region Set the direction for infrastructure best practices and automation Work closely with global teams Balance deep technical work with leadership, strategy and stakeholder engagement Drive improvements across systems like VMware, Windows Server, NetApp, and more Enable fast, reliable, and secure trading environments at scale What you'll bring Experience leading or mentoring technical teams Strong background in infrastructure - particularly Windows Server management & Virtualisation Hands-on with C#, PowerShell or Python, Terraform (or keen to learn) Experience with enterprise systems like Active Directory, NetApp, Windows Server Understanding of modern observability tools (SCOM, Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, etc.) Clear communicator and team player - someone who can lead with influence Why join?
