Project Manager - Defence - NV1
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Base pay range: A$170,
* / yr - A$210,
* / yr. Up to $200k package.
Clearance: NV1, higher clearance required.
Start date: ASAP or early next year.
We're proud to partner with an Australian Defence Consultancy to find an experienced Above the line Project Manager to lead the delivery of Defence capability.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and progress reports.
* Ensure compliance with Defence acquisition and sustainment governance frameworks.
* Represent Defence at working groups, technical reviews, and governance forums.
* Oversee technical interoperability with Defence networks and validate specifications / acceptance criteria.
* Ensure compliance with security, safety, and handling protocols for sensitive materiel.
* Prepare documentation for milestone reviews, risk assessments, and capability assurance.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in Defence project management (CASG or equivalent).
* Knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems and exploitation processes.
* Familiarity with Defence acquisition frameworks (ASDEFCON, MSP).
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Ability to manage complex technical projects under tight timelines.
* Understanding of materiel exploitation methodologies and intelligence processes.
* Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP).
