**About the Role**
We are seeking an organised and adaptable Administration Officer to join our small, close-knit team supporting the Department of Geriatric Medicine. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - from booking clinics and confirming patients to liaising with doctors and producing accurate correspondence.
Working as part of a team of four (including the Team Leader and Head of Department), you will be the go-to administrative support for our staff specialists and allied team members.
**In this role, you will**:
- Manage clinic bookings, patient confirmations and associated correspondence
- Liaise effectively with doctors, patients and fellow administrative staff
- Transcribe reports and create accurate documentation in a timely manner
- Navigate internal systems to support the day-to-day running of the service
- Contribute to a friendly and cooperative team culture
**About You**
You are an efficient and tech-savvy administrator with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload. You communicate clearly, work well in a team, and enjoy making a positive impact in a healthcare environment.
**Essential skills and attributes**:
- Fast and accurate typing, with experience in data collection, report transcription and correspondence
- Knowledge of medical terminology (or ability to learn)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks independently
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and capacity to learn new systems
