ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive Project Officer – Buildings and Open Space to support the delivery of a range of minor building and open space projects across the municipality. Working within the Infrastructure Services team, you'll play a hands-on role in managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with relevant legislation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and collaboration, combining project management, technical advice and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and overseeing minor building and open space projects from inception to completion
* Monitoring project performance across quality, safety, time and budget
* Providing technical advice and industry-based guidance on construction activities
* Supporting administrative functions including customer requests and data management
A BIT ABOUT YOU:
You have experience in building and construction and enjoy managing projects in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. You bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and a practical approach to problem-solving.
You will have:
* A tertiary qualification in building and construction or a related discipline
* Experience in building, open space or maintenance projects
* Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations and legislation
* Strong communication, time management and stakeholder engagement skills
