The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments, and provide technical guidance in a range of structural materials for our junior team members. With offices across Australia there is plenty of opportunity to collaborate across multi‑disciplinary teams.
Become a technical focal point and provide technical guidance for the structural team in Melbourne
Apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering solutions
Liaise with clients, design technicians and other team members to deliver practical solutions
Manage clients, prepare fee proposals and tender documentation
Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team
What you bring
Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design
Indepth experience in structural engineering design and already obtained Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineering Status or equivalent
Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher
Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem‑solving mentality
Willingness to contribute to technical guidance of junior members through mentoring and checking of technical documentation
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients
