Your role within the team
We are looking for a Key Account Manager, Australia Export to build and grow long-term partnerships with key cross-border customers. You'll drive business growth through increased distribution, brand exposure, and effective trade promotions, while identifying mutually beneficial opportunities with customers and internal teams. This role is accountable for achieving sales targets, managing a profitable P&L, executing strategic account plans, and negotiating commercial terms. Through a strong balance of commercial acumen and relationship-led leadership, this role supports shared success for both the customer and the broader Australia export team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Co-develop and lead the delivery of the strategic account plans with key customers, ensuring alignment to channel strategy and long-term commercial objectives.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, finance, and operations to ensure seamless execution of customer initiatives and exceptional account servicing.
* Partner with supply chain teams on forecasting, demand planning, and run rates to maintain strong product availability.
* Work with key customers to align on commercial targets and actively manage plans to deliver agreed outcomes.
* Work with trade marketing to deliver in-store execution of trade promotions & trade initiatives.
* Support the delivery of new product development (NPD) initiatives and activations in partnership with marketing and trade marketing teams.
* Oversee product education strategy aligned to channel strategy

To make sure we're setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Commerce, Business, or related discipline.
* Proven experience managing export customers within the FMCG industry, ideally across health and wellness categories.
* Advanced Excel and data analysis capability, with a track record of translating insights into actionable customer and category growth strategies.
* Financial and commercial literacy, including P&L management, forecasting, and trade investment optimisation.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and customer partners.
* Exceptional organisation, project management and communication skills.
* Practical understanding of internal administration processes, including PR/PO systems and budget management.
* Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and scaling new export, retail, and CBEC growth opportunities.
* Solid understanding of export market dynamics, including regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and operational complexities.
* Strong commercial acumen, with responsibility for delivering P&L targets, managing trade investment, and driving profitable growth.
