As a vital member of Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centred care for children and young people experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessment, intervention, and ongoing support within a dynamic and supportive clinical environment.
Your Opportunity:
* To provide expert clinical and patient‐centred care within Child & Youth Mental Health Service by supporting the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence‐informed practice.
* Deliver professional clinical mental health services as a member of a multidisciplinary team to consumers/stakeholder of the Child & Youth Mental Health Service.
Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) or Temporary Part Time Positions (hours negotiable) from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension
What we're looking for: Clinical
* Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing practice within a Child & Youth Mental Health Service and the ability to apply advanced professional judgement, and critical thinking to negotiate complex clinical requirements and to appropriately manage patient‐centred care requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to comprehensively lead and co‐ordinate Child & Youth Mental Health Service activities on a shift‐by‐shift basis, working effectively and consistently under pressure, providing timely and judicious advice to professional and operational colleagues, managers, and other key stakeholders regarding patient care, patient flow and service capability.
Education
* Maintains a professional development profile and facilitates an environment that encourages lifelong learning, mentoring and support for colleagues.
Leadership
* Demonstrated advanced management and organisational skills including advanced analytical and problem solving skills, professional engagement in change management, risk management skills, information management tools and systems, people management, including negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Developing ability to lead and manage a portfolio with agreed key performance indicators.
Support systems
* Demonstrated proficient knowledge of information management tools including demonstrated ability to use patient and staff information systems appropriate to the position.
Research
* Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality business processes and evidence‐informed practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements including nursing research.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and, if applicable, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $135,856 p.a., comprising salary between $111,198 - $119,071 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 (1)), or remuneration value up to $132,567 p.a., comprising salary between $79,051- $116,189 p.a. (HP3), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f. and Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f. or Temporary Part Time Positions, hours negotiable from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
