International Freight Forwarding
TRS Resourcing was tasked with seeking a dedicated professional for the Import/Export Coordinator role to oversee the transportation and logistics operations for our client, an international freight forwarding business. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the end-to-end logistics process, working closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless transport operations, regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate import and export shipments from start to finish, including liaising with clients and international partners.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and necessary permits, focusing on compliance with trade regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with carriers, suppliers, and vendors to track shipments and resolve logistical issues promptly.
- Monitor shipment status proactively and provide timely updates to clients.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to uphold high service standards.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, customs tariffs, and import/export compliance practices.
- Solid communication, teamwork, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with logistics software and systems such as Cargowise and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are advantageous.
