We currently have a vacancy for an experienced mechanic based in our Morwell workshop to maintain and repair our company‑owned fleet of utes, trucks, trailers and materials‑handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles, including utes, trucks, trailers and specialised equipment.
* Conduct in‑house mechanical works to ensure all vehicles are in top working condition.
* Diagnose and prioritise tasks.
* Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used and labour hours to ensure accurate maintenance and service history.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and provide assistance when needed.
* Show strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Australian Trade Qualification – Mechanical (Heavy or Light or willingness to upskill).
* Ability to work overtime during peak periods.
* Flexibility for rotating after‑hours call‑out roster.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A current driver's licence.
* HC or MC licence or willingness to obtain.
* A 3rd or 4th year Heavy Commercial Vehicle Apprentice will also be considered.
