We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this is a hands‐on role where you'll partner closely with stakeholders across the business and make a real impact. This isn't just about managing debtors. It's about stepping into a team that's evolving, building strong relationships across the business, and helping shape how we work moving forward.
What you'll be doing
You'll take ownership of the AR space while working closely with stakeholders to improve outcomes across the board:
* Managing debtor accounts and the aged trial balance end‐to‐end
* Proactively following up outstanding payments and improving cashflow
* Partnering with internal teams and customers to resolve queries and build trust
* Supporting month‐end processes, reporting and audit requirements
* Setting up new accounts and managing credit applications
* Preparing insights and reports that help the business make better decisions
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who brings both capability and the right mindset.
You're someone who:
* Builds strong, respectful relationships with ease
* Communicates clearly and confidently
* Enjoys improving processes and finding better ways to work
* Stays calm and focused, even when things are a little unclear or changing
You'll also bring:
* Experience in an Accounts Receivable role (ideally 5+ years)
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Solid Excel skills (Power BI and ERP experience highly regarded)
* The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
Why this role?
We know a 12‐month contract isn't always what people are actively searching for, but this is a chance to step into something where you can have real impact.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a team that's committed to building a more positive, collaborative and supportive environment, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of that.
At Australian Motoring Services, we keep people and businesses moving—whether that's through roadside assistance, automotive solutions, EV charging, or rewards programs that reach millions of Australians.
