Job Title: Emotional Care Specialist

Role Overview:
As an Emotional Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, dignified, and patient-focused care to ensure the efficient and effective transport of non-emergency pre- and post-hospital patients. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the comfort and respect of each patient throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
* Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
* Perform independently and problem solve within established policies and procedures
* Work collaboratively with other team members
Requirements:
A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or Bachelor of Nursing (with AHPRA registered nurse registration), or other equivalent qualification for Ambulance Officers recognized by RFDS or DHHS
* For Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) qualified - evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment, completion of a minimum of 400 hours operational experience under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor, successful completion of clinical skills assessment
* Availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 days
* Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
* Compassionate, professional, and dedicated to providing excellent service
* Experience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role desirable but not essential
* Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia
