Senior Technical Project Lead
Job Description
As a Senior Technical Project Lead, you will play a key role in Power Ledger's success by leading technical feature development aligned with customers' needs in targeted markets. This position works closely with the Product & Operations team, Business Development, analysts, and developers to execute the role and supports others as business priorities require.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
- Develop product specifications that promote strategic and commercial outcomes, documenting requirements for internal sign-off before development begins.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on product requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with market demands and business priorities.
- Create Products Requirements Document (PRD) and relevant documentation, assisting Tech Leadership to create a technical spec for development.
Technical Development
- Interpret technical diagrams and specifications, providing advice on engineering methods.
- Document processes and project planning.
- Participate in testing and provide constructive feedback to the tech team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Implement market-leading engineering standards in all developments.
- Design and document core business logic, translating it into system requirements.
- Assist in designing technical logic.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the product's commercial model.
Project Delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Develop project plans to track progress.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and associated legal and reputation risks.
- Support project discovery and mapping, including understanding trading logic to relay to the tech team.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project delivery.
- Process data, analyze, and assure its quality.
- Foster high levels of internal engagement and understanding in delivery requirements and risks.
- Contribute to bringing the VPP product to market.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with stakeholder management abilities.
- Modelling skills related to the energy market, with the ability to assess feasibility in different operating environments.
- Ability to produce detailed reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Familiarity with SQL, software development, and advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and experience in a startup environment.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a related field.
Experience and Knowledge
- 5 years of experience within the sector in a related role.
- An understanding of the energy industry.
