Overview
In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the Aubury Wodonga Military Area. This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities
* Oversee horticultural, turf and landscape maintenance in various open space projects, ensuring environmental sustainability and best practices are followed
* Ensure safety and compliance across all teams and projects
* Conduct site assessments, inspecting gardens and parks, generating reports, evaluating performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead, mentor, manage rosters and motivate a team of skilled professionals in the field of open space management
* Ensure regular preventative maintenance is conducted on plant and equipment to keep them in optimal working condition
* Lead innovations that drive efficiency and performance
About You
* Expertise in horticulture, turf management and landscape maintenance techniques
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire teams
* Strong work ethic with excellent time management abilities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
* Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
* Current Australian drivers licence (Advantageous)
* Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship and willingness to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check)
