Head of Supply Chain
Babcock Mission Critical Services España SA seeks a competent and strategic thinking Procurement and Supply Chain leader.

You will lead, develop and execute an efficient and effective supply chain service for Australasia, connecting with global counterparts for alignment. Significant experience driving positive change management, developing a strong function and driving proven successful outcomes is required.
An engaging people leader with an open mindset ready to embrace, drive and manage change within the function is necessary. The role involves leading a team of approximately 50 professionals across the region, promoting a strong organisational culture driven by clear and cohesive direction.
The position has a reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer Australasia and regular communication with the global team, requiring familiarity with a global working environment and potential out-of-hours appointments to meet global time zones.
About the Role
Overall responsibility for the Babcock Australasia procurement and supply chain function includes providing executive leadership around continuous improvement initiatives, strategic change management, business performance and culture. Understanding the importance of systems, process management and governance for current state and future business winning is essential.
The role requires determining the strategy, implementing delivery plans and supplier reviews, ensuring effective change management is embedded for appropriate organisational structures and resourcing. Employees should be able to develop and be deployed effectively to maximise performance and motivation.
A key part of this role is leading, nurturing and supporting the Department of Defence Australian Industry Capability Program and Sovereign Industrial Capability Priorities requirements for the Australasian business.
This position is pivotal in informing the approach for wider engagement, aligning the strategy and embedding emerging procurement and supply chain themes and knowledge, setting the team up for success and best practice operations.
The role can be based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
* Proven significant leadership experience within Supply Chain Operations and Procurement
* Exposure within a global complex organisation across a diverse group of stakeholders
* Significant business transformation and change management experience with proven results
* Successful communicator at all levels of an organisation across local and international business units
* Degree level qualification within Business, Commerce or Finance
* Defence industry experience preferred
