Operations Manager (Solar + Battery + Electrical)
This Is Not A Maintenance Role - This Is A Role Built For Growth!
Static Solar & Electrical is a young, fast‐growing solar, battery and electrical business and we're looking for a high‐calibre Operations Manager to join us at the most exciting stage of the journey. We also own and operate Nickel Energy in Lismore, so this role will have responsibility across both locations.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership position while the company is still in its infancy, and help establish the systems, team structure, operational excellence and culture that will underpin the next decade of growth.
We're not hiring someone to "keep things running."
We're hiring someone to help build an empire.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than their current position can offer.
You may already be an Operations Manager (or senior leader) in an electrical or renewables business — but feel like:
the ceiling is too low
growth is stagnant
you're executing someone else's vision
there's no pathway to ownership or senior leadership
At Static Solar, you'll work directly alongside the Director to scale the business, lead the team, and take genuine ownership of operations.
For the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway into a General Manager position, and the potential for profit‐share opportunities after time served.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the day‐to‐day delivery of solar, battery and electrical projects, while building the internal systems and structure required for rapid growth.
This is a hands‐on leadership role: not on the tools, but in the engine room of the business.
You will manage people, processes, performance and planning, and become the operational backbone of the company.
This role is based at Tweed Heads and is not a role that can be done remotely.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily operations across solar, battery and electrical works
* Manage scheduling, workflow, project delivery and team performance
* Undertaking TSI audits, quality control and site readiness checks
* Mentor electricians, apprentices and administrative staff
* Drive operational strategy alongside the Director
* Improve internal systems, processes and scalability
* Ensure quality control, compliance and safety standards
* Oversee stock, resourcing and warehouse organisation
* Own the implementation and optimisation of Simpro across the business
* Help shape the next phase of growth and expansion
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A strong electrical background (licensed preferred)
* Experience in solar and battery systems (highly regarded)
* Proven leadership and staff management capability
* Experience running operations in an electrical or trades‐based business
* Confidence working in an office‐based, systems‐driven environment
* Strong understanding of Simpro, or the willingness to learn it rapidly and drive it across the company
* Ambition to grow into a senior leadership or GM‐level position
Why Join Static Solar?
* Join a business early and help shape its future
* Real autonomy, ownership and influence
* Direct collaboration with the Director
* Clear pathway to General Manager for the right person
* Profit‐share opportunities over time
* Strong pipeline of premium solar and battery projects
* A growing team with big ambition and a great culture
Location & Lifestyle
Based in Tweed Heads, servicing the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, this role offers the chance to build a serious career while enjoying a lifestyle upgrade—think beaches, hinterland, and a community feel without capital‐city burnout.
