Heiner's Bakery is seeking a qualified and experienced baker to join our commercial bakery operations in Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full baking process, producing high-quality bread and bakery products while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and production standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare, mix, knead, prove, bake, and finish a variety of bread and baked products
* Produce consistent, high-quality items in accordance with recipes and production schedules
* Operate and maintain commercial baking equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofers
* Monitor dough fermentation, baking temperatures, and timing to ensure product quality
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, and workplace health & safety policies
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
* Manage ingredient preparation, stock rotation, and minimise waste
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment, including early morning and weekend shifts
* Support team members and management to meet daily production targets
Requirements
* AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification
* OR minimum 1–5 years' relevant commercial baking experience
* At least 2 years' post‐qualification or equivalent industry experience
* Experience working in a commercial or high-volume bakery environment
* Strong knowledge of baking processes, dough handling, and quality control
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of bakery duties
