We are seeking a senior fire safety professional to join our team as a Fire Safety Engineer.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of projects across Australia, providing expert guidance and support to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating fire compliance programs, conducting site surveys and assessments, and developing maintenance schedules.
You will work closely with colleagues, external contractors, and stakeholders to achieve annual certification and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work on new project designs, reviewing fire systems and ensuring they meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate fire compliance efforts, working closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve annual certification and regulatory compliance.
* Conduct initial site surveys and confirm existing essential safety measures.
* Develop planned preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with the fire operations team to ensure deliverables are met.
* Review fire designs for new projects, ensuring they align with company standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or significant experience in fire safety.
* Relevant experience in essential services compliance or a related field.
* Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
* Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant maintenance codes and standards.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
