The Lending Administration Consultant is responsible for applying Bank Australia’s credit standards to mortgage discharges, loan variations and construction payments, ensuring all activities are processed accurately and within required service levels for internal teams and the broker network. The role contributes to the effective operation of the Lending department by completing loan processing functions in accordance with Bank Australia’s policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

What you will be doing

* Process mortgage discharges, loan variations and construction payments in line with Bank Australia policies, procedures and service level agreements.
* Action and triage leads, emails and online loan applications promptly and accurately.
* Approve loan variations within delegated authority and complete verification checks to maintain strong credit quality.
* Handle credit assessment tasks including valuations, mortgage insurance, first‑homeowner grants and security verification.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, internal teams and the broker network.
* Stay up to date with lending legislation and apply it to daily processing activities.
* Identify and recommend improvements to loan procedures and policy.
* Participate in training and support processing across TPD Lending, branches or other departments as needed.
* Respond to inbound lending enquiries from customers and brokers with efficient, policy‑aligned service.
* Perform additional duties as required.

What you will bring

* Lending experience (highly desirable) and a strong understanding of Bank Australia’s lending policies, procedures, products and services—or the ability to learn quickly.
* Knowledge of relevant lending legislation such as the National Credit Act and Privacy Act.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to show empathy and manage conflict professionally.
* Strong decision‑making capability and the ability to efficiently investigate and resolve queries.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing pressure and competing demands effectively.
* Good computer literacy and professional presentation.
* Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
