Supporting Young People, Creating a Brighter Future
Our Out of Home Care program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people. As a part-time Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in helping them heal, grow, and build a brighter future.
As a Youth Worker, your primary responsibility is to provide trauma-informed care and support to the young people in our care. This includes:
* Providing day-to-day care and support to ensure the young person's physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met
* Helping with personal care, education, social activities, and independent living skills to promote their well-being and self-sufficiency
* Creating a safe and stable home environment where young people feel valued and supported
* Offering trauma-informed and positive behavior support when challenges arise, helping young people to develop resilience and coping strategies
* Encouraging connections with family, culture, and community to foster a sense of belonging and identity
* Working closely with a supportive team to ensure the best outcomes for young people
No experience? No worries! We offer flexible training options to suit your needs. Our team will support you every step of the way, from gaining your Certificate IV in Youth Work to landing your dream job.
We welcome people from all backgrounds who share our passion for supporting young people. If you have the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a real difference in the lives of others, we'd love to hear from you!
