Our client specializes in premium mango, and we're on the hunt for a Packhouse Manager to oversee our high‑energy packhouse operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and supervising the packhouse team to ensure peak performance, efficiency, and a positive work environment.
* Overseeing fruit processing from intake to dispatch, ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
* Managing packhouse startup, seasonal planning, and staff recruitment to guarantee a smooth workflow.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, certified quality systems, and export protocols.
* Conducting internal audits and maintaining market access certifications to meet domestic and international standards.
* Collaborating with farm managers, quality control teams, and logistics staff to optimize the production process.
* Supporting on‑farm activities when needed, ensuring a seamless connection between harvest and packing.
What You Bring to the Table
* Proven experience in packhouse or farm supervision – Hands‑on leadership experience in a fast‑paced packhouse setting, ideally within the fresh fruit sector.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems – Understanding of HACCP, GAP, and other food safety regulations.
* Ability to train, motivate, and lead teams.
* Familiarity with regulatory compliance and market access requirements.
* Problem‑solving and technical skills – A hands‑on approach to resolving operational issues and optimizing packhouse processes. Basic knowledge of machinery operation is a plus.
